WELCOME TO OUR BED AND BREAKFAST

L'Envolée is a bed and breakfast held by Michèle Steenhuyse in a large stone house at the entrance of Belvianes et Cavirac, a small village in Aude. This village is located between the Mediterranean and the mountain, between Perpignan (70kms) and Carcassonne (50kms). On the road of Cathar castles, nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees, it offers spectacular scenery.

This very bright guesthouse, full of charm and refinement, has a light and cheerful atmosphere given by Michele, international tourism and hotel industry professional. She easily speaks six languages and will welcome you warmly.

Traditional breakfast varies daily.
No table d'hotes at "L'Envolée", or exceptionally on request. But Michèle will be happy to advise you of small restaurants nearby. You will sleep peacefully in romantic guestrooms with views of the mountains and the village. There is also a terrace with barbecue and a sunken garden. The lounge is available for guests to relax, watch satellite TV in your home language if you wish. You can park your car close to the house.

FIVE GUEST ROOMS AND AN INDEPENDENT COTTAGE


The bedrooms named Colombe, Mésange, Marrakech and Colibri, available in single, double and triple, are spacious, bright and equipped with a shower room with toilet. There is also a large family room with mezzanine: the room Hirondelle, perfect for 4.
In the hallway upstairs, a "kitchenette" with fridge, microwave, hob and kettle is at your disposal for a small snack or drink.
The cottage (maximum four people) is equipped with a small kitchen and has direct access to the terrace and garden.

The area offers many tourist interest:
  • Carcassonne, extraordinary medieval city, World Heritage of UNESCO.
  • The famous Cathar castles such as Puilaurens, Montségur, Quéribus, Peyrepertuse ......, the Gorges de Galamus.
  • History is everywhere and is often related to religious and military orders (Templars) as well as mysteries such as those of Rennes le Chateau!
  • The abbeys of Lagrasse, St Hilaire and Fontfroide.
  • The thermal springs (Rennes les Bains, Ax-les-Thermes) offers treatments, relaxing and therapeutic hot water pools.
  • You can practice white water sports (canyoning, canoeing, rafting etc ...) in the immediate vicinity, and nature lovers can hike from the house.
Not to mention the famous "Blanquette de Limoux", ancestor of the Champagne, and the possibility to visit cellars and drive the wine route (Maury, Rivesaltes, etc ...).
